So I never like to say negative things and I honestly believe that all the subscriptions here had a place in my workspace at that time in my crafty travels, however customer service will always be a huge priority on my list of reasons to stay with a product or company.. The other thing is basic morals, ethics and good will to one another, which I feel is very important. I also have come to a point in my life where I’m just not willing to pay money for products that don’t work for me, with that said here is my list … I in no way way discourage Anyone from trying these products as I believe everyone has their opinions and own experiences…. which is why I have included the “check it out” link for “You” to decide!!
Annie’s Card Kit
Annies Kit Clubs
The Kits came on time, and the original price was 1/2 off for the first Kit, which was $9.99. However as pretty as the papers were, they were very thin and so were the die cuts, I had problems with the die cuts being hard to separate from the card and tore many of them. and the card bases were extremely flimsy. The rubber stamps were so badly made that all of mine fell apart without ever using them…. I received 4 kits in all before I finally decided to unsubscribe. The products are beautiful to see visually but in my experience the quality is lacking.
Cost: $19.95 plus shipping and handling.
Value: If they had stayed at the $9.99 price point, then maybe, yes, but not worth $19.99
Paper Pumpkin Kit
Stampin Up
I ordered it and never received it, contacted my host who I had ordered it through, she sent me the order confirmation so I contacted, Stampin up Customer Service and found out they had taken payment but never sent the kit. So I asked for my money to be refunded and they hoped I would use it for the next months kit, as they had no supplies left and my subscription would begin then, even though I had set up the subscription to begin that month, I said No and it was a huge PITA to get my money back and get out of the subscription. The host I used was so nice, but the Stampin Up company were horrendous to deal with.
Cost: $23.50 per month includes shipping
Value: I have no idea, I never got the kit to find out.
Brutus Monroe Inspiration Box
Brutus Monroe
This is A tough one because I genuinely loved the products and subscribed for over a year. It was, however difficult just getting the subscription, because it always seemed sold out, I tried for several months until I finally nabbed it, but that just shows the popularity of their products. I still use and purchase some Brutus Monroe products to this day. I quit the subscription box after watching a Live on YouTube that I felt was not my cup of tea, so I unsubscribed and that was that.
Cost: $34.95 plus shipping
Value: The value of the kit is up there for sure, You get wonderful and whimsy items, a great array of products and beautiful stamp sets, So yes it’s worth the cost.
Sizzix Craft Kit
Sizzix
Sizzix Card Kits are actually well put together, You do get quality card and dies and stamps that coordinate well. I struggled with having to pick 3 subscriptions and after trying several of their kits before subscribing, I decided to stick with what I already had.
Cost: $34.95 plus shipping
Value: They are great value for money, however they seem to have opted to use HSN as their subscription outlet which imho is a pain in the butt.
Spellbinders Quick Card Kit
Spellbinders
I only subscribed for 3 months to the cardmaking kit, and they recently decided to change its contents to no longer have dies, so I unsubscribed. The papers and die cuts are a little flimsier than other brands, but overall it was a good kit. They reduced the price for the new version, however I liked having the matching or compatible dies, so that was the dealbreaker for me.
Cost: $29.50 shipping not included
Value: I love spellbinders products, I have a lot of them and use them frequently, but In my opinion, I feel it’s not as versatile without the dies…
Pink & Main Card Kit
Pink & Main
I loved this kit, and probably still would, However I feel it became a little repetitive as every month you received, different designs but the exact same items, Stencil Stamp, Paper Pad, Bazzil Cardstock, Embossing Folder, Enamel Dots, Pin, Bag. Sounds great right and it totally was, except I was craving different mediums, papers, embellishments etc, something … anything different.. so as crazy as it sounds I opted out and cancelled after 15 months, I still subscribe to their stamp of the month, which is always adorable.
Cost: $34.99 plus shipping
Value: One of the best value for money kits, The products are quality made and very cohesive. Trust me, you will collect quite the array of stash items quickly with this kit.
Graphic 45 Card Kit
Graphic 45
I subscribed to Graphic 45 Card Kits to replace my Pink & Main Kit and as much as I truly love their products, it just seemed it was lacking in areas. Sadly the only embellishments I received was ribbon, which just didn’t seem that exciting, I guess I was hoping for a little more variation. Other than a paper pad, gift tags, Cards with envelopes, ribbon, a project sheet and bag. (The bag really is a clear plastic shopping bag with g45 repeatedly on it, so imho, nothing to see there) and the 2nd kit I got the bag was torn, so it was pretty useless. I opted out after 3 kits and started my Cherry Box Subscription.
Cost: $35.00 plus shipping
Value: I think it’s worth the money, but the bag is tacky given the cost of the box, that doesn’t come in a box, the products are beautiful and maybe I just got a bad run of kit variety, but either way, Graphic 45 have amazing products, and their product speaks for itself.
