I had to get this box because of the Aussie-ness…

It makes sense right?

This kit is from Hero Arts I think it was their April or May 2020 subscription kit.. Its an older kit but I really love it.

How I created it:

I used the kit stencil and Tim Holtz Distress Inks for the Background, blending them to look like really hot Australian Summer at dusk, right as the sun begins to set..

The ground is also a variety of Distress inks using reds, browns and blacks, as that is the true color of most of our desert type countryside, where you will find a ton of roos trying to forage for food and water at this time of the day.

I used the kangaroo stamps and tree stamps from the kit stamp set, stamping with versafine black ink directly onto the stenciled background, I did it several times so they were really dark and shadowy.

I matted the card onto black cardstock and then matted that onto a deep green cardstock and then used foam tape for dimension and stuck both onto the card base.

I die cut out the sentiment in black so it would stand out on the sun,

used some twine and used some Nuvo Drops for extra embellishments.

Happy Crafting 🙂
