I created this card for May-May from maymaymadeit who I follow on Youtube and buy products from at times.
Maymay introduced me to wreath building, card making, Brutus Monroe and Art Glitter Glue,
I’m so very thankful for all that. 🙂
How I Created It:
This card is a 4.25 x 5.5 A-2 card…..
I layered the echo park paper on top of the card base and then 1/2 way down I folded it down and then folded it down again, then folded it upwards, so its 2 mountain folds then a valley fold.
Glue only the bottom half, on the front of the actual card base.
Then cut a piece of Spring Teal ribbon to size and thread the ribbon under the last small fold and glued the ribbon and very bottom of the fold down.
I made a bow using the same Spring Teal ribbon and set it aside.
I cut a cloud shape blue background out of card stock by hand using scissors and decorated the top using Wink of Stella by Zig Pen and set it aside.
I then lined up up my Paper House Owl sticker so it ran diagonal, matching up with the card stock lines and glued the bottom 1/2 down.
Note: The stickers are glittery and do shed quite a bit.
Under the top half of the sticker I inserted my cloud cut and glued it into place and then glued the top half of the sticker down.
Note: The stickers have foam backed adhesive but I wanted to make sure it stayed so I added Nuvo Glue onto the adhesive part of the foam backings.
I cut a flag banner twice, one slightly smaller in 2 colored card stocks and stamped the smaller one with a sentiment, then used adhesive foam squares to hold it in place.
I used some of the flowers in the sticker pack to adorn the banner….
I then stuck the ribbon on top of the smallest fold and lined it up with the ribbon to give it the illusion the ribbon was threaded around the fold and tied into place.
On The inside of the card I just cut two card stock layers smaller than the actual card, layered them down and added another stickers inside the card for cohesiveness.

Mistakes I Made:
I should have not used foam squares on the flag banner as the flowers looked wonky on it.
The sentiment stamp on the flag was crooked 🙁 I should have sealed the glitter to prevent it shedding.
Overall I think the card was cute and I really loved the folded edge. 🙂
