My son is awesome, he’s Autistic, Super Smart, but has the obvious Autism related Issues.. He also has Grand Mal Seizures, among other things to add to his plate.  He has a huge heart of gold and always wants to do nice tings for his dad’s birthday… So when your kind hearted son says “Mum, can you make Dad(My Ex) a card from me for his birthday?” you tend to say yes and get to crafting…  So the list of things he asked for the theme of the card for was pretty simple,  “Mum, I’d like it to be beachy, ocean stuff or Irish stuff.”  “You can do that right?”  “Of course I can, I replied!”  Well I had all of those things, kinda!!!!

Supplies List:

  • 1 – 8.5 x 11 Teal Cardstock (Recollections)
  • 1 – 6 x 6 Cardbase and Envelope ( Isused 12 x 12 Cardstock in white for both)
  • I had some Nautical Themed Ephemera, stuff left over from another project – I think mine is HunkyDory
  • Ink – For Sentiment – Versafine
  • Ranger Liquid Pearls – Opal
  • Bakers Twine

Mistakes:

I should have used a fish, anchor or other item for the envelope embellishment,  the crab didn’t look right.. I stuck the teal middle layered square in the teal color paper on sideways  and didn’t realize until the card was done… Tragic!! It’s okay,  no-one else noticed either.. lol
P.S. Aidan – loved the card and was very proud to give it too his dad for his birthday.
