Well this was an unusual year given I now have Mother’s Day  to think about again. My mum passed away several years ago, and my husband and I parted ways, so I haven’t had to worry about doing the gift or card thing for several years.. But new boyfriend, new mum to try to please! So I heard she was into crafty things too, makes bead items, knits etc…  So i thought I would make her a gift box and card. The card and box SVG’s are from my favorite Dreaming Tree Team.. Its from their very pretty “For The Ladies” Bundle. you can of course purchase each item separately.
Supplies For Dress Card:

  • 1 Sheet Of 12X12 White Cardstock (American Crafts)
  • 1 Sheet Of 12X12 Lavender Cardstock (American Crafts)
  • 1 Sheet Of 12X12 Apricot Cardstock ( Recollections)
  • 1 Sheet Of 8.5X11 Black Cardstock (Recollections)
  • 1 Sheet Of 12X12 Grey Metallic Pattern Paper – (Joann Stores)
  • 1 Sheet Of 8.5X11 Apricot Floral Pattern Paper (The  Paper Studio)
  • 1 Sheet Of 8.5X11 Silver Foil Paper (Cricut)
  • Pink Dotted in Colors Ribbon  (Joann Stores)
  • Rhinestones and Pearl Stick On’s
  • Ink For Stamping Sentiment – Versafine
  • Hot Glue
  • Craft or Paper Glue – Scotch Tacky Glue
  • Wink of Stella Brush – Clear

Mistakes: I actually did very well on this card… My only gripe was you couldn’t see the Wink of Stella in the details of the dress in pictures lol and the dress is a tiny bit further to the left then it should have been..  Otherwise this turned out very pretty.

Supplies For Orchid Box:

  • 2 Sheets Of 12X12 Apricot Cardstock (Recollections)
  • 2 Sheets Of 12X12 Dark Pink Cardstock (Recollections)
  • 1 Sheet Of 8.5X11 Light Lime Green Cardstock (Recollections)
  • 1 Sheet Of 12X12 Light Teal Dots Pattern Paper (The Paper Studio)
  • 1 Sheet Of 8.5X11 Teal Pattern Paper (The Paper Studio)
  • 1 6 x 8 Scrap Cardstock for lid edge decoration (DCWV Embossed White Card Stock)
  • Wired Organza Ribbon Glitter Silver Translucent (1.5” In Thickness)
  • Dry Baby’s Breath
  • Rhinestones
  • Ink For Edging Orchid and Leaves – Tim Holtz Distress Inks
  • Hot Glue and Gun
  • Glue – Scotch Tacky Glue

Mistakes:   This was a tough little project and Leo always makes them look easy. The paper wrinkled a little bit in some areas and my orchid didn’t have as much dimension as I would have liked, otherwise this turned out quite pretty..  The pictures don’t show the true colors, sadly, as the box lid is more orange then it appears..
